Bet your friends that you can make wine magically go into an upside-down glass, and the next round will be on them.

Step 1: Light the candle
Light the candle and drip wax into the center of the dish. Place the candle on the wax so that it sticks.

Tip
You can get a cherry from the bartender and light the stem instead of using a candle.

Step 2: Pour the wine
Pour the wine into the dish.

Tip
Red wine is best so everyone can clearly see the wine going into the glass.

Step 3: Position the wine glass
Place the wine glass upside down directly over the candle.

Step 4: Watch in amazement
Watch in amazement as the wine is drawn into the glass as the candle goes out, creating a vacuum.

Step 5: Flip over the glass
Flip over the glass holding the dish on top, remove the dish, and the wine is now fully in the glass. Bottoms up!

Did You Know?
Did you know? Treading grapes by foot is still the technique used to produce a small quantity of high-quality port wines.

Sooo how does the rest of the wine get inside? Cause wouldnt the flame go out once the wine raises far enough thus cancelling the vacuum effect?

Avoid! Avoid! Do NOT do this trick. If you ask your local bartender for a shallow bowl / dish and a tealite / cherry in the hopes of getting the next round of wine gratis, chances are you’re gonna get punched real hard. Ask me.

The last thing about foot trodden grapes for wine was interesting, but it got me thinking (a dangerous thing) foot fungus develops over time into a yeast infection on your foot this may have been how yeast was introduced into the first grapes to make the first wine or bread or beer!!!! So let me introduce to you the brand new “TOE JAM BRAND” “WINE and Bread and BEER”!!!!!

I was out of wine (I drank it all) so tried this trick with gasoline instead. The effects are different from what is shown in this video presentation.

Fail. You clearly stated that it would be done by ‘magic’. It wasn’t. It was done by science.
