I first heard this from Jeff Buckley, but had previously learned that he didn’t make the original either, and plus this cover isn’t terrible at all, it’s actually pretty good (Of course, not as great as the legend JB in my opinion, but no hate).

this song is dreamy and so is the meaning of its lyrics. it has an intoxicating quality. at the start, when we listen to this song, it gives us relief as music frees us from all anxieties. slowly, it starts to give pleasure. as the song and its music progress the listener gradually slips into oblivion and intoxication. Finally, by the end of the song, the listener finds dreamy solace in the intoxicating tune of the song. listening to this should be just like a wine-drinking experience. unfortunately for me, Miley’s voice is unemotional and lacks that dreamy daze like quality which is often expected from this song.

Richard was right to mention her cover version is a good one, 🙂 Although I’ve only just become aware of this song thanks to ‘Pointless’, I enjoyed that. It’s a song that makes you want to close your eyes and just listen.
